As a beginner, I've really appreciated the group lessons supplemented with a video link from Eduardo to review what we'd learnt. The small class number, clear song sheets and chord diagrams have helped me tackle those tricky chord changes. It's been great learning with like-minded people experiencing the same challenges. I was nervous enrolling but when Caspian emailed a pre-class set of videos that stepped you through some of the basics of guitar, I felt more assured.

Eduardo is such a patient and kind teacher and we have a lovely group of people in the class. Such a great experience and can highly recommend!

Hi all After many years of sporadically picking up my guitar, I noticed the Strum Tree group advertised on social media, and wondered if it might work for me. Skip forward and I’ve joined the intermediate group in week 3 after popping in on the term 1, week 2 session to have a look. Think we’re up to week 7 already. I’ve enjoyed jumping in on the group, learning 3 songs with some new cord shapes and scales along the way. Eduardo has been welcoming and let me say great with his explanations of strum patterns, timing and scales. I’ve found the motivation I’d been missing.

It’s been a great opportunity to connect with others in my age group while learning guitar in a relaxed and supportive environment. Our teacher, Eduardo, does a fantastic job keeping the beginner classes engaging and easy to follow, focusing on simple chords and songs that build confidence. I also really appreciate that he provides YouTube videos of the lessons, which makes practising at home much easier and helps reinforce what we’ve learned in class.

I am old (74) and lack the ability to change chords quickly or even play some chords but Eduardo has given me simplified chords and I am making progress which is very rewarding. Highly recommended. I had been playing only chords and picked it up on my own very irregularly since I was 8 years old. I couldn’t bear the idea of using you tube to teach me, f2f at Strum Tree with the comradely of other students is so much befter Eduardo is an amazing guitarist. I had the privilege to watch him play at the Street theatre in Canberra in Feb, and he was amazing. Definitely shows what many years of practise and education can do, as well as raw talent. Eduardo is a patient teacher that comes right back to the class level and I am enjoying playing in a group, learning how to play notes as well as chords and doing solos. I am very much looking forward to the 3 performances we are doing to the elderly towards the end of term. I have already practised one on one with an elderly lady and the lady loved what Eduardo has taught me. Thank you Caspian and Eduardo for a great business, so much better than you tube f2f learning.. I am one very happy student 🙂

The pace was good, teaching me new skills each class and allowing me time to practice before the next class. Instructor was very attentive and helpful, and resources were also excellent.

Eduardo and Caspian are incredibly knowledgeable and patient. The tuition pace was great and no-one in the group was left behind or made to feel like they weren’t keeping up. Tuition through well known songs also kept up the interest and provided the group with realistic, and achievable milestones through the course. Already signed up for the next level of tuition.
